Continuing Education Credit Guidelines

1. Submit to the Washington State Department of Agriculture a completed Recertification Course Accreditation Request form along with a copy of the course agenda at least three weeks prior to the start of the course.

2. With the exception of meetings that run on a continuous basis, recertification courses must contain a minimum of two hours of accredited topics and you must be willing to have a WSDA monitor present. WSDA's Recertification Policy details the criteria for assigning recertification credits.

3. Once a course is accredited, WSDA will forward the sponsor the recertification credit roster. It is the responsibility of the sponsor to ensure the integrity of the rosters and to return them promptly to WSDA so that the credit may be assigned to those attending the course. Sponsors are also responsible for ensuring that courses contain the material outlined in the submitted agenda or that WSDA is notified of any changes to the program. Failure to do so can affect the accreditation of the course in question and/or your ability to sponsor future courses.
